(Age Requirement: new students must be at least 2 years old before registering/attending.)

Our Preschool program is 8-11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday.  It has a structured morning schedule.  We use ABeka's age-appropriate reading readiness curriculum.  Activities that develop fine and large motor skills are also included in our students' daily routine.  Each of the three Preschool classes has its own classrooms and teachers.  Some ages may be combined but are split during table time so they can receive the age-appropriate instruction.  Preschool 2yr olds through Kindergarten have snack time and recess time.

Our Preschool program is licensed.  (If you need additional hours of care for your child/ren, we have a licensed childcare program.  Please see 'Early Learning Center'.)

We would be happy to give you a tour of our Early Learning Center facility so you can meet with our Director, Lindsey Ecklund, and our instructors. If interested, please call the school office at (208)437-2184.

Kindergarten

Our half-day kindergarten is the perfect way for your young student to transition towards elementary. The age requirement is five years of age prior to September 1st.

The schedule for Kindergarten is four half-days per week, Monday, through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. After-school care is available through the Early Learning Center.

Elementary

HLCA builds strong learners in an atmosphere of connection and curiosity. Kids develop character as they explore their world and learn about God’s world & His love for them. Our small classroom sizes offer space for students to receive focused academic attention, as well build meaningful relationships with teachers who are dedicated to their wholistic well being.

Jr. High

Our Junior High consists of traditional grades of 7th-8th. These are very important transition years, and our goal is to support each student to build confidence, develop healthy character, practice good study habits, and strengthen interpersonal relationships.

High School

Before admission to High School, all students, both prospective and those returning, will undergo an interview process to determine admission.  Acceptance will be based upon student desire to academically achieve and promote a positive Christian atmosphere in the school.

At  HLCA you will meet some awesome teachers who will prepare you for college and life after high school. HLCA not only gives you the required and higher level high school classes that prepare you for college, but also offers you a variety of electives.  We schedule extracurricular activities in which to be involved such as Band, Lock In, Pep Rallies, Archery, and Sports.

We also offer educational activities such as Yearbook, SeaPerch (underwater robotics), Speech Meet, and a chance to take a life-changing missions outreach every other year.  If being a leader appeals to you, make sure you get in the running to be an ASB officer.
